Q: How much does it cost?

A: There is a small materials fee of $25 for the 6 week workshop. This includes your own personal copy of the Sustainable WorksBook, a comprhensive resource guide, and free resources that will support your sustainable actions.

Q: What if I can't afford the $25 for the book?

A: Scholarships exists for those who can't afford it, as well as volunteer opportunities. All donations are tax-deductible.

Q: How long will it last?

A: The course is 6 weeks in length. We meet once per week for 90 minutes.

Q: What if I miss a meeting?

A: This is not a course for credit and you will not be graded, but we highly recommend you attend all 6 meetings to get the most out of the course. The more you know the more you can save.

Q: Is there homework?

A: We ask you to assess your impact on the environment using our Lifestyle Survey at the beginning and end of the course. This survey helps you understand how your daily choices impact the environment and celebrate the changes you've made as a result of the program. It also helps us continue our funding and track our program success. Other than that we only ask that you read each brief chapter before the next meeting and commit to trying 2 or 3 of the recommendations discussed in the Sustainable WorksBook.

Q: Can I invite my friends, family, or neighbors?

A: Of course! The more the merrier. Our funding is for Santa Monica residents, but all are welcome.

Q: When and where are the classes held?

A: Generally there is a class happening every night between Sunday and Thursday after work hours. Call or email us for a current listing.

Q: Why should I care?

A: Our resources are being depleted at an alarming rate and our personal health and environment are being jeopardized because of our shortsightedness. Our everyday choices contribute to the global crisis we are all facing. The Sustainable Crew workshop helps you understand the issues and gives you the resources to make a difference.

Q: What if I'm already green? Is there anything else to learn?

A: You will be surprised at how much you will learn. In addition, your valuable experiences can be very influential and inspirational to other group members.
