The Business Greening Program is FREE to Santa Monica businesses via City of Santa Monica Office of Sustainability and the Environment subsidized funding.

What is the Business Greening Program?

Sustainable Works will provide your business with the tools and resources you need to reduce your costs, waste and environmental impact. We assess your current operations, provide you with a list of recommendations, and then guide you through a step-by-step implementation of the measures you select. We also train and educate your employees.

Sustainable Works performs onsite environmental assessments of current business practices and then provides targeted sustainable recommendations. We guide implementation by recommending new measures and providing useful resources and tools needed to implement environmental actions and policies. Once businesses successfully implement targeted recommended actions, we help them receive recognition via the Santa Monica Green Businees Certification or local awards.

Although our services are free or low cost in many areas due to grants and subsidies, businesses may require monetary investments for such things as efficient lighting and non-toxic cleaners.
